On Oct. 5, 2008, we experienced an unfortunate occurrence that has drastically changed our lives. It may sound simple, but our dishwasher broke and leaked under our kitchen floor. It not only damaged the floor, but the cabinets as well. We called our insurance company who acted quickly sending us Service Master to tear out the damaged floor before it became extensive. State Farm also recommended Paragon to be the contractor for the repairs.

Grant Wassal promptly came out and explained that our entire kitchen was going to have to be replaced as everything damaged was tied in together. He was upfront, honest, clear and patient, and worked with us with such courtesy as we have never seen before. In every step of the process, he has been extremely helpful, promptly on the site during emergencies, available whenever we needed to talk and just a great guy to work with. He is not the only one; however, that deserves a pat on the back!

Steve Hill, Bryan Sutter and Chris Colombo did the most amazing job on our cabinet replacement. You are blessed to have people of this high standard of etiquette as your employees. These were 3 of the most polite, personable, accommodating gentlemen that have worked in our home. Their attention to detail was fabulous! The gentlemen who laid the tile floor were quiet and polite; Duff Nash from Midwest Kitchens did a very nice job guiding me through the cabinet selection. Sam from Mid-America Electric was here within 30 minutes of a potential electrical mishap and did a wonderful job!

This process is not over yet, but I just had to drop you a line and let you know that my husband and I have been overwhelmed with this process and more than impressed with the service we have received with Paragon as our contractor. We look forward to a finished kitchen and a wonderful memory.

Our basement flooded on September 14th and we could not get anyone to help us with the clean out and repairs. We were put in touch with Paragon through Sandy Vierling and immediately things started happening. In 2 hours a crew came in and removed all the old wet carpet, removed the wet drywall and set up blowers and dehumidifiers. The smell was finally gone and we could breathe again.

Steve Plant took over with the estimates and repairs. He worked hard with the insurance company and started the work immediately after we got approval from Fireman’s Fund. The work crew was extremely courteous and professional. They looked after our home and family as if it were their own. The punch list items were handled on the spot and we were back in our basement within 8 days from starting the work.

I cannot say enough about the people and the especially the responsiveness of the crew. You never think about something like this happening to you, but when it does it can be very traumatic. Thank goodness we found Paragon. We will recommend you highly to anyone we know who finds themselves in this dilemma. I want to thank you for the people you chose to do our job. Yesterday the guys from Custom Flooring were very good–I really like the job they did. The tile looks great! They were professional and pleasant and answered all my questions. And even more professional were your carpenters, Rob and Kevin. I couldn’t have asked for better people to come to my home. I felt totally at ease with them. They explained everything to me when I asked questions. And when they found that the floor didn’t reach the cabinets Rob explained the 2 ways he could fix it. I told him to do it the way he thought would look best. The next day when they had to leave early he showed me how he was going to do it. It looks great! We are so pleased with the whole job–can’t hardly believe it is really my kitchen. I can’t say enough good things about your company. It was a joy working with you and your people. Dear Randy & Steve:

I thought I would drop you a note to tell you about our experience with your company. I had a hardwood floor damaged by a floor contractor that we had hired to do some work in our home. The flooring contractor’s insurance carrier finally accepted responsibility.

We contacted Steve Plant, one of your project managers, to assist us in getting our floor replaced. Steve was very considerate and thoughtful during the entire project. He let us meet the subcontractor, who had us meet with the flooring supplier. The flooring supplier was very knowledgeable about the types of flooring and my wife was able to decide on floor based on his knowledge.

The entire process of the project went very smoothly and all parties involved were professionals. Mr. Plant was able to get the job completed quicker than projected so that my family did not have to live out of the house for an extended period. Please give all those involved our thanks.

While we were very upset when we experienced our fire loss, we were also grateful that our loss was confined to material possessions and no loss of life occurred. It wasn’t until after we began restoration we found that a complete rebuild of the interior would be necessary.

Paragon really came to our rescue, our salvageable possessions were removed and cleaned by specialists in different categories, clothing, electronics, valuable art, and you even had a specialist who was able to revive my father’s grandfather clock. To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to let you know that the experience I encountered working with Steve Plant and his crew was one of the greatest things that came out of the horrible incident my family endured. Steve was great as far as emailing me and keeping me up to date with what was going on and when I would be back home. I know I drove him crazy because I wanted to be home for Christmas, although he never showed how much crazier he was because of me. His guys were always nice when I would come by and look at the progress of how things were going. He was always pleasant to deal with, and never hesitated to let me know if something was behind schedule or if he needed something from me.

The other great thing that came out of this whole ordeal is the gorgeous job they did on my house. Everything was done the way I asked, if they had any questions none of the guys hesitated to call me and ask. They made sure things were correct before installing or painting. Gary Plant was also great as far as getting with me on the flooring and making sure things went smooth. Larry (the painter) he did a wonderful job on all rooms and any touch up work that I have found since moving in has been fixed in a timely manner.

I can’t thank you all enough for the great job that was done, and the appreciation and consideration that was given to me and my family when we needed it the most. The Paragon Crew along with Gary and Larry where great and the gentleman Allen from Lowes was a big help also.
